Default Any cool ideas that anyone had used this program for?

just wanted to hear all the intresting ways this program has been used for? At the moment I wondering if I can really use it or not. Seems like it always stops in the middle of the macro with some type of problem. So I was intrested to know how other users of this software were using this version.

Thanks
John

Hello,

Workspace Macro 4.6 is a Keyboard & Mouse macro program. It allows you to record your recurring activities and it will replay exactly the same way as it was recorded. It helps you to automate repetitive tasks involving any Windows application. It also allows you to schedule your macros to run at a predefined time.

It will take you through a simple 3-step process: New -> Save -> Run.
Moreover, can you please let me know if you are getting any error when macro stops. Is any window missing that you worked on while recording? Please let us know more about it so that I can help you accordingly.

Here is a link to the online demo of Workspace Macro 4.6

Here is a link to best practices for our macro products, Workspace Macro 4.6 and Workspace Macro Pro 6.5

Hope that helps!

o - yes - I do know that windows are changing on the desktop that I run the macros and thats what is causing the error. What I'm trying to figure is what is the best way to record a macro because changing window sizes and file placements, moving object, well that happens on a computer every day so what was once a desktop today may be a diffrent desktop tomorrow. So what is the best way to record a macro to avoid such changes that happen day to day from common computer useage? moving and resizing windows is something all users do once that happens then the macro is no good any more.

Hello,

We would recommend using more of keyboard shortcuts instead of mouse clicks while recording. For e.g. to open a file menu you can use the keyboard shortcut ‘Alt+F’. In the main window of Workspace, you can put a check in checkbox in front of "Enable this macro to run with other similar files or window titles".

Workspace Macro recorder remembers the size and location of the window captured during the recording. While playing back the macro, it will first re-size the window to same size as recording and then play the actions to ensure reliability. However, the mouse clicks are captured with respect to the screen so it will work if you are playing back on the same resolution computer.

We would like to suggest you our advanced automation product, Workspace Macro Pro 6.5.3.You can download the free trial version of Workspace Macro Pro 6.5.3 from

http://www.tethyssolutions.com/macro-automation.htm

If you are changing the resolution of the computer then we suggest you to open the macro in editor and perform a double-click on each mouse click command and click on advanced and select relative to window instead of size.

In Workspace Macro Pro, there is one option available Moved Icons/Menus. Also Workspace Macro Pro 6.5.3 provides you with an editor that allows you to easily edit your macros. If you are opening files by double-clicking on desktop icons or from start programs menu then we would recommend you using the ‘Open Program/File’ command in the task to open the file or program directly. That way it becomes machine independent and it will open the file no matter where its icon is.

Default Databases

I just got this and I'm trying to learn the best ways to use it, but in my work, I have many online databases that I must download each day, i do so b/c it allows quicker, easier access to necessary information, such as verifying payments, getting contact info, etc.

Up until today, my assistant or I would manually download an excel sheet, and import it into MS Access. But with macro pro it can be done before we get to work, at least I think it can, I'm still playing with the system to figure it out, but i am confident that I will get it to work very soon, and I must say that if/when I do, the product will be worth it's weight in gold!
