Default SCREEN COORDINATES of SELECTED TEXT???

Hello,

I am using VISTA.

I would like to be able to create a script to:

(1) Find any TEXT STRING on a webpage.
(I can do this by automating a WINDOW FIND (CTRL F)

(2) Find the SCREEN COORDINATES of the SELECTED TEXT.

************************************************** *
How can I find the SCREEN COORDINATES of the SELECTED TEXT???
************************************************** *

Here are some possible approaches:

(1) Is there a STANDALONE (EXE) program that will determine the
SCREEN COORDINATES of any SELECTED TEXT?

(2) Is it possible to take a JAVASCRIPT program, and convert it
to an EXE program--that will run standalone?

(3) Is there any way to MOVE THE MOUSE CURSOR to the SELECTED
TEXT?

Thanks a lot for your HELP!

Hello,

Workspace Macro is a very powerful macro recorder. When you record a macro, Workspace Macro can reply exactly the way that it was recorded.
Unfortunately using Workspace Macro, you cannot find the screen co-ordinates of the selected text. However, you can try our advanced automation product, Automation Anywhere 4.0 that provides you with a powerful tool, Web Recorder to automate web based task.

Web Recorder reliably and accurately records and automates web based tasks. Automation Anywhere Web Recorder works tightly with Internet Explorer and understands all the web controls. You can use this tool to automate any web tasks like login to websites, search for items, submit forms, update records, automate ERP web front end, extract web data, testing an online application etc. There is an internal plug-in for Internet Explorer which tells web recorder to wait until the page is fully loaded before executing the web action.

Automation Anywhere Premier & Enterprise version offers a very powerful feature to convert your task into a stand-alone program (Exe). Exe can run on any machine without the need of any software.
You can create a task having 'Open Program/File' command to launch any program or file and then convert this task into an executable.

You can download free version of Automation Anywhere 4.0 from our website:
http://www.tethyssolutions.com/automation-software.htm

To get started easily, you can view the demo on Automation Anywhere 4.0usage, at http://www.tethyssolutions.com/automation-tutorials.htm

In addition, there are many online sample tasks available at http://www.tethyssolutions.com/automation-samples.htm

Hope that helps.
