Hello,

What you can try is, uninstall the product after taking backup of the ‘My Macros’ folder under My Documents\Workspace Macro Pro folder, install Workspace Macro Pro 6.5.3 from our website, http://www.tethyssolutions.com/macro-automation.htm and restore the ‘My Macros’ folder at same location i.e. under My Documents\Workspace Macro Pro folder. Now, try recording a macro using 'New' button.

Hope that helps!

Why the backup ? I dont have anything to backup. And I reinstalled like 5 times already. I just came to this site today and wanted to try this product beside the others I found and I cant even get it to run. I cant believe Im still trying considering it wasted an enormous ammount of time I should be spending on my work and besides at least Macro Express v3.7.4.1 works like it should.

Hello,

'Runtime Error 429' may occur when the Windows Script Host and/or the Visual Basic run time system files on your machines have been corrupted.

Please find below the links to install them

1. Visual Basic Run-time
Download details: Service Pack 6 for Visual Basic 6.0: Run-Time Redistribution Pack (vbrun60sp6.exe)

2. Windows Script Host for XP and Windows 2000
Download details: Windows Script 5.6 for Windows XP and Windows 2000
Or
Windows Script Host for Windows 2003
Download details: Windows Script 5.6 for Windows Server 2003

You might be required to reboot your machine after you install the above mentioned files. As you finish doing this, try to reinstall the application and see if you can use it without any problem or not.

Hope that helps.

Tried it and it made no difference. File -> New did open a new window but clicking on NEW button crashes the program. Doesn't matter. I gave up on WMP.

Hello,

Can you please try this and see if it resolves the problem.

1. Please go to the temp folder. To find the path of the temp folder, go to command prompt (cmd.exe) and type echo %temp%.

2. It will print the path of the temp folder. Copy that path and open it in window explorer.

3. You will find a file called tempdsw.pali. Please delete it and now when you click on 'New' button, it should run fine.

Let us know if this fixes the problem.
