Default running a macro through Control-M

I am evaluating this software for our company and what we are trying to do is run a macro on a server through Control-M. If I am logged onto the server when Control-M kicks off the .bat file the macro runs fine but when I'm not logged on and Control-M kicks off the .bat file the screen must look different and the macro cannot find the window or applicatino that was open during recording. I have used keystrokes as much as possible but there are a few things that require a mouse click. Has anyone been successful in using this software this way?

Hello,

Can you please tell us, you have installed Workspace Macro Pro on server or you are trying to run macro on server remotely?

If product is installed on server itself then if server is logged off, Windows will not allow any non-Operating system program to take the control of the mouse or keystrokes. Windows' security deals with logging into the computer at a very low level to prevent hacking.

However, once someone has logged in and then lock the computer, our advanced automation software, Automation Anywhere 4.0 can successfully unlock the computer and lock it back after executing the task. So instead of logging off the computer, you can lock the computer and our technology will unlock the machine to execute the task.

You can download free version of Automation Anywhere 4.0 from our website:

Moreover, upcoming version of Automation Anywhere includes feature of running task successfully when computer is logged off.

Hope that helps!

Yes we have installed it on the server. Thank you for the information it does help. From my testing I had determined that it works fine as long as someone is logged into the server.
