Default IE Blinking and Macro stops working Windows 7

Hello,

I been using WMP for a couple years. Recently I moved from Vista to Windows 7. I have macros that take data from an Excel spreadsheet and paste it in to IE 8's address bar. Then the macro will do many other actions in the windows. This has worked well for years. Now that we have moved to Windows 7. When I go from Excel to IE8, IE8 start to blinking and will not go any further. This same scenrio has worked fine in XP and Vista. Any help appreciated.

Thanks

David

Hello,

Is it possible for you to upload your macro and sample excel file so we can try reproducing the scenario at our end and suggest viable solution?

Default IE Blinking and Macro stops working Windows 7

I had the same issue on a windows 7 Machine for a client I was trying to show your program to. I had to revert to a Vista Machine to show them the program. The Win 7 machine had plenty of HD space and 4gb of ram with nothing running.

the macro was recorded on the Windows 7 machine but continued to be slow and the window blinked.

The Macro is attached to this post. I edited it a bit to remove any company dcata and Bersonal contact info.

Hello,

We looked into your macro and would like to suggest few things,

1) Insert Delay command after every command in the macro so that command gets enough time to execute on replay.
2) Break down your keystrokes of 'TAB' key given in one line at a stretch into several lines and try to insert 'Delay' command in between the lines for the error-less execution of the task. Breaking the keystrokes into several lines would give sufficient time to execute each action smoothly.

Hope this helps.

You are missing the point. The macro works fine on a Windows Vista or Xp Boxs, its something to do with Windows 7. The maximize screen fix noted somewhere else does not work either. I tried it on 2 different Windows 7 machines and it does the same thing.

Why would I want to slow it down even more with delays? The windows do not maximize and they litterally flass / flutter on the screen like they have a nervious twitch.
