When a test calls another test, TA action window shows the called test name corectly. But when an error is thrown by TA during playback the test name Action replay window shows the calling test name not the called test. This is incorrect; the action window should continue to display the test called while the error message is displayed |

Hi, Can you send us a screen-shot that explains the above issue because we tried re-creating the issue at our end and found that the action window down at the bottom right hand corner continues to display the test called while the error message is displayed. The name changes back to the calling test only after you hit 'OK' on the error pop-up. |

This is simple to reproduce... anyway attached is a screenshot. Look at the Playback window. It says "Run test" (I called a test that the error occurred in, although TA gave no indication what test was called.. which is not very useful)..anyway the error message does not list the called test as well just the line number. Please provide the called test name as well (maybe with an option to stop test execution and debug the failing test)

I think I saw this occur yesterday, same as you describe (although it was hard to know as the name disappears off the screen.. another issue). TA Support - this is easy to replicate!! Create one test that calls another. Make sure the second test will fail. When it fails, the 'playback' window in the lower right will show the CALLING test, not the one with the error! This is clearly wrong. |
