Logging off and back on

I have to test my system by change regional settings which means I need to log off and then back in for the change to take effect. How do i record this function..will TA not shut down when doing this?.I need to fully automate our test which means no interaction from the user..Is there an option to do this in testing anywhere?.

Can you advise which Operating System do you have installed at your end.
