Post Avatars vanishing, causing errors

I have several tests where I've recorded actions using Avatars. I've moved the avatars from the Global repository to the Local repository for each test. When I run the tests, however, some will fail stating the object recorded in the avatar doesn't exist.

When I open the test I see several avatars missing, usually one avatar has the wrong window title, and there's always one phantom avatar that is reported to exist but is not visible. If I delete all the avatars listed it will still say there is one left. When I click its name from the drop-down menu and click Delete it asks me if I'm sure and I click Yes, which does nothing. It still reports 1 avatar in the Local repository.

I've repaired the test by copying out the commands, deleting the entire test, and making a duplicate of a working test, then copying the commands back into it. However, if I run the series of tests again, this issue will occur again. When it occurs it will cause every test after it to fail for the same reason, each with messed up avatars in the Local repository and exactly one phantom avatar that cannot be deleted (which prevents me from adding it back). This has been happening for two days in a row now and I've spent many hours repairing these tests only to have it happen to them again.

I've attached a screenshot of the issue we're seeing. Any ideas what's going on here?

I'm using TestingAnywhere 6.5 on Windows XP if that helps.
Thanks.
