Exclamation Incorrect message when Uploading from Client to Server

Often when using 'Server Communication' to upload a new or edited test from a Client to the Server (for use by other TA licenses), I get the message "The server has the latest version of the test, do you wish to continue".

This message is clearly wrong, I can see the test listed as 'Old' in the Server, and 'Updated' under the Client. Why would TA report that the server version is the latest when it clearly is not?

Now I'm not sure if when uploading from a Client to the Server, that it is actually Uploading, and not Downloading an Old version OVER a New version?

I have had this problem occur since we purchased TA months ago.

And here is a screen shot of the problem. You can clearly see the server does NOT have the latest version.

Hello KMuller,

Lets take the following scenario into account:

Two clients, CLIENT A & CLIENT B are connected to the SERVER. There is a test, lets call it TEST 1, which is in all the three machines. i.e. in CLIENT A, CLIENT B & SERVER machine. Now, if CLIENT A updates the TEST 1 in his own machine and uploads it to the SERVER machine, the status of the TEST 1 in the SERVER machine will show "updated". After this, if CLIENT B updates the TEST 1 in his own machine and then uploads it to the SERVER machine (CLIENT B updated the TEST 1 after CLIENT A, so CLIENT B has the latest TEST 1). The status of the TEST 1 in the SERVER will now be showing "old" as CLIENT B has the latest TEST 1. So when CLIENT B uploads the TEST 1 to the SERVER machine, the message shown is "SERVER contains the latest file" which means, the test, which was last updated and uploaded into the SERVER which becomes latest for the server (according to the message) but the status "old" states that TEST 1 is older than the one which is getting uploaded by the CLIENT B (which states the truth).

Let us know if this is the same scenario that you are facing.

Thanks & Regards.

Hi, no this is not the situation I am facing.

I have only one Development Client so it is not possible for another client to have updated a test.

As in the screen shot, Client A updates Test1. When Client A uploads updated Test1 to the Server, Client A receives (sometimes) the described error.
