Default Web Recorder stops on play back

When I record a sequence of web actions using Web Recorder, it records all my actions but will not play them back.
I try to open a web page and get a security pop-up. When the pop up is acknowledged, the log-in page is presented but the script will not log in. (it worked during record mode) It does not even do the first step of entering the user name.

If I code this as two scripts and run them one at at time all the steps work but multiple browser windows get opened. If I copy and paste them into one script it stops.

Any ideas?

can you share with us what the resolution of this was?

I too have web recorders "stop" - it appears that the page name has changed during playback, but, there doesn't seem to be a way to use the asterisk in webrecorder to wild card page names.
