I've been using TA to automatically complete a series of screens in a Windows payroll application. The whole process is controlled by a spreadsheet which specifies the type of field that it is, ie Checkbox, date, numeric, text or drop down, the entry to be made in each field, and its position on the screen. It was working OK but has now started to ignore or misplace mouse clicks and ignore check boxes. In short it has become pretty unreliable. Any ideas?

It looks like this was caused by the a problem between the Avatar and the relevant Smart recorder lines in the test. I had re-created the Avatar and re-linked the lines to it (for want of a better description!) but the link between Avatar and test lines seemed not to exist. I removed all the Smart recorder lines and deleted the Avatar. I then re-created the Avatar and added brand new Smart Recorder lines to the script. While everyting looked exactly as it had done originally, something had clearly changed because it worked perfectly. While it is good to have resolved this, to say it was unclear what was going on would be something of an understatement. |

Hello, This seems to be a strange behavior. Please provide further more details like which option was selected by you while creating Avatar (Create Avatar based on Object or Window). Also if you can send us the screen shot of the application on which you were trying to create Avatar will be helpful for us to investigate the issue. You can send us all this details by opening a support case at below mentioned link. Testing Anywhere - Open A Support Case |
