Arrow Work Flow Designer “Save” prompts user for name

When “Save” is selected the file should save over existing file without prompting

Hi Petra,

We appreciate your suggestion but at times it may happen that the customers are intending to make changes to an existing script not with an intention to save it. Under such a situation if the 'Save ' button gets clicked unknowingly it might overwrite the script without any intimation. Hence we have a prompt pop-up before any changes get saved.

Regards.

I’m new to TA but have >30 yrs test experience. What you are doing is contrary to normal windows operation. Also after I posted this I noticed there are many other places in TA that have the same behavior.
Anyway if you are worried that when save is clicked that the user may "accidently" overwrite the file, I would suggest to throw a pop up that asks "ok to overwrite file?" Why make the user type the name (since they can’t browse to the file) every time they save.
