Hello, You can use pattern base option of Extract Data command to get the job URL. The latest version of Automation Anywhere (version 5.5.1) provides enhanced Web Recorder with pattern based data extraction to extract web data with same pattern spanning across multiple pages with an ease. You can view the demo at, Automation Anywhere - Learning Center For your convenience, we have created a sample task. To run this sample task, Please copy it under location, 'C:\...\My Documents\Automation Anywhere\Automation Anywhere\My Tasks' folder. Hope that helps. |

I have the Standard version so I can’t use the pattern base option. I asked the same question a few weeks ago and I got a sample task but for some reason it didn’t work. At least I thought I understood the commands so I tried to apply the same logic to my task but unfortunately it didn’t work either. That’s the reason I came back again for the same problem. So what am I doing wrong? I just can’t get the URL’s from column 2 (Job Title).

Hello, Can you please upload the task that you have created so we can look into it and suggest viable solution? You can locate your task by selecting your task from Task List, right clicking that particular task and selecting 'Locate on disk' from context menu. It would help us investigate further. |

Hello, You can get the URL using Caption i.e. Job Title instead of Index Number. We have attached the amended task that extracts the URL of Job Titles successfully. Please copy attached task under location, 'C:\...\My Documents\Automation Anywhere\Automation Anywhere\My Tasks' folder and run it. Please let us know how it goes. Hope that helps. |

Sorry but that doesn’t work either (no job title URL extracted) and I’m even more confused now as I don’t understand how can it work on your computer and not on mine. Actually the way it is right now the task goes through all the commands without extracting anything … I only get an error message at line 29 saying: Microsoft Office Excel cannot access the file ‘C:’. It’s odd as the same excel file is opened correctly at line 1. If I could send you the original Excel file maybe that will help but your online form doesn’t allow excel file attachments. Is there another way … or what am I doing wrong? |
