Hi, I have around 60 small tasks that I need to run one after the other daily. I have tried to copy tasks into one big task but it doesn't save properly and erases the steps for some reason. Is there any way to either 1). merge the tasks together or 2). configure them to run after each other one by one. I don't really want to have to schedule each task by time as this is too time consuming. Thanks in advance. Phill |

Hello, Using Automation Anywhere 5.5, you can chain multiple tasks using 'Run Task' command. You can find this command under Tasks/Scripts command category. To ensure the next task starts when the previous task completes, use 'If Task Successful' command to monitor the task execution process. You can find 'Task Unsuccessful' option under 'If' command, which in turn found under 'Conditions/Loops' commands category. With this command, you can run several Automation Anywhere tasks, one after another. The command runs the selected task, and depending on the return code, decides if it ran successfully and takes appropriate actions based on the result. The text format of task would appear something like this, 1) If Task Successful ("C:\...\Automation Anywhere\Automation Anywhere\My Tasks\Task1.atmn") Then 2) If Task Successful ("C:\...\Automation Anywhere\Automation Anywhere\My Tasks\Task2.atmn") Then 3) Run Task "C:\...\Automation Anywhere\Automation Anywhere\My Tasks\Task3.atmn" 4) End If 5) End If If Task1.atmn is executed successfully, Task2.atmn would executed and after Task2.atmn is executed successfully, Task3 would be executed using Run Task command. We have also attached a sample task for your reference. Please copy it under location, 'C:\...\My Documents\Automation Anywhere\Automation Anywhere\My Tasks' folder. Hope that helps. |
