How do I get a copy of 5.0. I am switching computers and I would like to load AA on my new computer but I only see 5.5 available.

Hello,

Version 5.5 is a free upgrade for version 5.0 customers. Your license key for version 5.0 will work with version 5.5 as well.

You can download free version of Automation Anywhere 5.5 from our website:

Default Problem with 5.5

I upgraded to 5.5 but this step in my task does not run properly.

I attached the screenshot of the 5.0 version which does work. "The loop step" in both version is identical except for location which is fine. But in the 5.0 version there is a "Then" at the end of the line but in the 5.5 version it is missing. I have checked all of the menus and check boxes and both are the same. The "Then" is the only difference and since I can't manually edit the line I'm stuck.

Hello,

Can you please try recapturing the web control in loop command at line #4, save the command, save the task and run it.

If you can upload the task we can amend it and check. You can locate your task by selecting your task from Task List, right clicking that particular task and selecting 'Locate on disk' from context menu.

It would help us investigate further.

Hope that helps.

Default Task

Thanks for the help, I attached the task but you will not be able to run it because it is secure web site. I am hoping you find something I missed. I also attached the 5.0 version which work as well.

Hello,

Can you please tell us, at line #4, which image control on webpage the task is waiting for? You need to recapture it and try running the task again.

Also, the task includes Mouse Clicks and keystrokes in currently actively window so it is difficult to figure out the exact action. Can you please tell us the actions you need to automate so that we can create a sample task for you?

We suggest using Web Recorder commands to automate the web task as they are more reliable. If websites change and web controls move, it will find the correct controls and the task will continue to work. You can use this tool to automate any web tasks like login to websites, search for items, submit forms, update records, automate ERP web front end, extract web data, testing an online application etc.

You can view a demo on how Web Recorder works at,

Hope that helps.
