Default Web Recorder - Extract Data - why 12 second duration

Hi Forum.

Used AA 10+ years ago and am glad to be using it again.

I created a task that involves the Web Recorder that...

- 1. Opens a web page of my hosted database service.
- 2. Logs in
- 3. navs to a saved dynamic report
- 4. uses Extract Data to copy data from a table on row 2 column 6 to variable1
- 5. uses Extract Data to copy data from a table on row 2 column 4 to variable2

...and a few more steps that work perfectly.

My question is why do steps 4 and 5 both take 12 seconds each? All other steps appears to run as fast as is safely possible.

I have tried the task using all speeds inclusing "Turbo" and I can't determine why copying a string and storing it to a variable could take 12 seconds when all other steps, many of which appear to be much more complex, take a 1 or 2 seconds at most.

The task is spending almost 30 seconds on steps 4 and 5. That limits my processing to around 2 updates per minute when I loop. I will gladly accept this rate if it is the best that AA can offer. Just want to explore in case I did something that is causing a needlessly long duration.

All comments and advice appreciated.

Chris

Hello Chris,

Is it possible for you to upload the task so that we can try reproducing the scenario at our end and suggest viable solution?

You can also email us the task at, Ask the Automation Expert. Automation Anywhere - The Leading Automation Software
