Using AA v5.0 is it possible to capture a screen image and save to to a file located on a server. we would like to capture screen images for audit purposes. What has been found so far in the software is just the ability to capture and process the screen image to text, which is not what we are looking for currently. Any ideas? We know that we could use a 3rd party tool to perform the screen print, such as snagit but we are hoping for a single integrated solution and less point of failures. Hello, Automation Anywhere 5.0 Enterprise version offers SnapPoints feature using which you can capture the images at run-time. To set SnapPoints, click the Set SnapPoint button in task editor. You can now set SnapPoints in the column to the left of the line numbers. When you run a task after setting SnapPoints, Automation Anywhere captures the images for the commands where you set SnapPoints. The images are captured after the command executes. By what we have read in the documentation, online help, the SnapPoint appears to only be within the Task Editor and does not indicate that it is available during runtime. Now if this is incorrect then were are the snap shots placed? Frank |

Hello Frank, Using Task Editor, you have to set the snap points to capture the image when task runs. Images captured are stored under location, C:\Users\...\Documents\Automation Anywhere\Automation Anywhere\My Tasks\Images\My Tasks\TaskName. They can also be seen in Task Editor, under Visualize tab. If you can email us your number at http://www.tethyssolutions.com/support_form.htm then one of our expert can call you to explain it online. Hope that helps. |
