Post FTP Help

I want to setup a task that will connect to a FTP server and download files and then move the files that I’ve just copied that still reside on the FTP site into a sub folder on the ftp site, for example a "completed" folder. I can get the connection and the GET command working ok but I can’t seem to find anything that will allow me to move the files that reside on the ftp site into a sub-folder on the ftp site.

I also need a task that will copy down files from the FTP site which have created date of today and then remove any files that are more than 1 week old, but again I can’t seem to work out how to create this?

Any help would be great

Cheers

Hello Stephen,

The current version of Automation Anywhere does not have the feature to carry out actions and navigate within folders on the FTP. You can get the files from a FTP location and download them in to a folder on your local machine but you cannot move the files from the parent folder to a sub folder on FTP.

Also at present, the condition to check for files based upon their date of creation is available for files on the local system and not for the ones on a FTP location.

Regards.

Hi Stephen,

We will forward your suggestion to the Development Team to consider it as a possible enhancement to the future release.

Regards.
