Is there a way with automation anywhere to monitor if a application goes into a not responding state? I have tried writing bat files that run tasklist and if it finds the program not responding it rights to a text file. Then I have a job that monitors the file and if the size is greater than 0kb it runs a specified task to kill the application and restart it. The only problem is that tasklist is not actually seeing that it is not responding. Is there any way to have automation anywhere look at task manager and if it see's anything that says not responding then it takes action?

Good Day, As per your requirement, we would suggest you to use the 'Trigger' option which will cause a task to run based upon the state of the process/processes. For ex. - If the process 'OUTLOOK.exe' stops running then you can trigger a task to run which will write to a text file using the 'Log to File' command. The attached image file will help you locate the 'Trigger' option under Automation Anywhere. Hope this helps. |
