I have a daily task which is triggered from a file creation in a specific network folder. The task then logs into a client's system using mouse clicks and adds notes. The task will occasionally log in and start the task. However, 90% of the time it fails not being able to find the window during log in. I then start the task manually(just moments after the error), and the same task logs in just fine. I have also tried starting the task when the file changes and tested it that way. Again, it will only work occasionally. What is different about using Triggers? Are there limitations? Please understand me. I am not going to take out the mouse clicks, so please don't suggest this unless someone can explain why the task works when I start it manually using the same mouse click commands. Thank you. |

| If you're experiencing intermittent performance the result may be simply be a timing issue. Perhaps the login window is not fully loading prior to the command executing. 1 - Try adding or increasing the delay between the command that launches the client system and the command to log in. 2 - Experiment with 'wait for window' commands. 3 - Is it a browser based system? If yes, there are other ways to launch. |

Hi Dennis, Can you advise when the task runs after the trigger executes, are you present in front of the system or is it that the trigger is executed during the after hours. We wanted to know if the system is under locked mode or is it under an un-locked state. Also if the screen-saver and the sleep-mode are active on the system when the trigger executes. Kindly advise. |

Hi Dennis, We would like to know more about the login window on which the task errors out. If possible, can you send us a screen-shot of the login window and also of the error message that you receive. We would also like to have a look at the task file. To send us the task file, right click on the file under Automation Anywhere and select the 'Locate on Disk' option. Regards. |
