Default ? image recognition vs window controls?

I've mentioned that I've had some problems with using windows controls - where the control can be captured - but, not found later when executing an exe.

I thought I would give IMAGE RECOGNITION a try.

I've attached an ATMN

I get an error on line 497 of image file not found?
but,
this seems broken, because I captured 2 windows just as in the example.

I did NOT use the image file option.

?can you help?

Hello Phil,

Before line number 497, add "Activate Window" command for activating "*Activity Log Search*" window. When you capture image 1, try to take a larger area. In image 2, only capture the image that needs to be clicked on (in the task that you've attached, just capture the add button and not the line above or beneath the button).
Set minimum percentage match to be 50% to 70%. Try to run the task again and let us know if this helps.

Thanks & Regards

why would I need or want to ACTIVATE the window when it is the
CURRENTLY ACTIVE window into which I am typing?

Hello Phil,

As you are using wild cards in "select window" field, we suggested you to activate the window in case the active window drops.

Thanks & Regards

I`m curious why you can`t find the control. If you recorded it using web recorder then uncheck some of the advanced options. Try just searching by `name` instead of `tag attributes.`

I've switched to using the CURRENTLY ACTIVE WINDOW -

the problem seems to be with MULTIPLE MONITORS.

when the IE window is on the PRIMARY - the image recognition seems to work better than when the IE window is on a secondary monitor.
