Default ?virus signature issue with McAfee recently?

On September 16, at about 12:30 pm,
McAfee pushed a new signature DAT table.

immediately,
AA exes that had been created with the latest 6.1 stopped running.

we would get the message POP-UP saying LOADING and then another LOADING and then then NOTHING.

The EXE progress window would NOT appear and the AA exe would not start.

so, has anyone have any idea what might have changed to trigger the problem?
any suggestions on how to "make it stop?"

thanks
Phil

Hello Phil,

Thank you for getting back to us. If you can provide us with the following details of the MCAfee antivirus agent, we will be able to resolve this issue.

1) MCAfee Product and Version.
2) Engine Version.
3) .DAT Version.

Thanks & Regards

I've attached a ZIP of a WORD DOC of a screen shot of the McAfee "about" from a machine that had the problem.

Both 8.7 and 8.8 of McAfee had the problem beginning with DAT 6471.0000.

File Type: zip Mcafee Problem.zip (87.3 KB, 2 views)
