Would it be possible to add functionality to the task editor to be able to run an individual step (or even better if you could select a group of steps and right click and select an option to run that sub set of steps)? Often I find the need to run through the whole task just to find out if steps such as sending the correct amount of tab keystrokes in a screen is working properly or if my SQL query step is working properly. Thanks |

Hello, You can disable the commands that you do not want to execute and save the task. You can select multiple commands and can disable them by right-clicking and selecting Disable option from context menu. Hope that helps. |

thought about that and that is fine when the tasks are smaller, but some of the tasks I have are several hundred steps and the steps I want to execute are in the middle of the task so it becomes an inconvenience to do this all the time. If you could set a breakpoint in the begginning and then jump over steps in the task that would be fine as well, but the only command I see in debugging for stepping is "Step Over" which is kind of misleading as this command only executes the current step.

Hello, To run individual steps, in Task Editor click on “Enable Debugging” button. This will produce new buttons from them please select “Step Over” button. By clicking on “Step Over” button you can move to next command step by step and you can observe the action. You cannot run the subset of task. You can select the command lines and right click on it and disable the line you do not want to be executed. Thanks |
