AA Standard Usefulness Questions
I bought a copy of AA standard last year, but have only gotten moderate use from it. I wanted to use it for automating repetitive tasks involved in my work but it turns out I can only do so much.
For example, the biggest tasks I have require interaction between Excel and a 3rd party audio editing program. The manual process involves marking 300 audio phrases from one long audio file, and giving each one a unique name. I have to copy each file name from Excel and enter it into a window corresponding to the audio phrase in Adobe Audition. But it cannot be done in Automation Anywhere.
I paid for a consulting package last year and spent many hours with Tethys experts on the phone and over e-mail. It turned out that the only way to automate this task was with a functionality only available in the Premiere Edition, where I could specify specific "windows" (something like that).
So my question is this: how can I best utilize Automation Anywhere for other tasks I do? I know this is different for everyone, but I really need a process for determining what I can Automate and what I can't. Is there a resource that can help me do that? Perhaps a checklist or a list of popular tasks used by certain types of work?
Thanks.
