I'm using the web recorder and several challenges. The 1st is that the recorder seems to be re-arranging lines a bit. This isn't a huge issue as I can straighten them back out in the editor, but it would be nice if I didn't have to do this. Screenshot 1 contains what the recorder wrote. Screenshot 1.jpg Screenshot 2 contains what actually went on. Screenshot 2.jpg My second issue is that this website opens a pdf inside the browser which I want to save to the local machine. The web recorder doesn't seem to track the click on the save button inside the pdf viewer, (diskette - upper left corner) though it does follow the keystrokes for saving the file. What am I missing here? Screenshot 3.jpg thnx |

Hello, Regarding your queries, 1) This is very strange as we have never seen such type of behaviour before. However, let us investigate. Can you please tell us, does it happens every time you record the task with web recorder? or it is happening with this website only? Is it possible for you to create a dummy login for us so that we an try recording the task at our end? 2) Web Recorder works only with web applications. To click on a save button in pdf viewer you can use Manage Windows Controls (MWC) command. MWC allows you to directly access Windows UI objects like Text Box, Drop Down, List Box, buttons, Radio buttons and more. You can find this command under 'Programs/Files/Windows' command category. Alternatively, you can also insert keystroke commands. Hope that helps. |

1) I've recorded this twice with the same result. This is the 1st time I've tried the web recorder. PM or email me and I'll provide you with some log on credentials. 2) The button we're trying to click is within the browser window. I've included a larger screenshot for your reference.
