Default Please run this program from the Administrator account so it can set up your license.

I'm getting this error:

Please run this program from the Administrator account so it can set up your license. Once the license is set up, you can run it from any account.

Only on our "classified" baseline workstation which have certain reg key area srestricted...

Is there a way for the runtime .EXEs NOT to try to set it's license key?

How are we supposed to deploy our .EXEs without the intervention of an Admin?

Thank you

Hello,

Could you please tell us exactly when do you get this error? Can you please send us screenshot of error so that we can actually see?

Can you please try uninstalling and then installing the software again and see if same thing happens?

Note: Please restart your machine after you install the software.

Hope that helps.

Hi,

I've attached a screen shot.

Is it the actual first time you hear about that error?

I get the error everytime any .EXE task is run on a brand new computer. It doesn't matter what the task does.

This does not take place on the computer that has A. Anywhere 4.5 Enterprise installed on (the computer on which I developped the tasks). It happens only the computers on which I deploy the runtime .EXE tasks. So do you mean I should uninstall and re-install the AA software on the development computer and it should make the compiled .exe task behave differently?

If I run it as Administrator once, it's fine from that point on. So it's related to access rights. But the whole point of using a runtime is that it has a small footprint and shouln't interfere with the testing of the computer by writing to the computer...

Actually I think I have an idea why it gives out that error. I think the AA runtime embedded in the .exe task is trying (when running for the first time on a computer) to set its licence key by writing in the registry HKLM/Sofware which is blocked on our computer baseline here.

I'll do more investigation on that. But I'd like to know what you think.
Thanks for your help
