Interenet Explorer 7.0 Timeout
Hi,
I am using IE7, and fairly frequently get a connection timed out error message when using the web recorder extract table function. Microsoft says that the timeout limit is 30 seconds for IE7. The only way to change the default timeout settings is to go into the registry key, according to Microsoft. They do not recommend doing this. I am not familar with working with the registry editor, and wonder how seriously to take their warning.
Their recommendation is to add a "RecieveTimeout DWord" value with a data value of (<number of seconds>)*1000 in the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Internet Settings.
Does anyone have any experience with this problem? Suggestions?
