Default Microsoft outlook

Hello,

I recently am trying out this automation anywhere and what I really am looking for is the product to be able to open up an email from a specific sender and on each email do the same function every time. I want the email to open up click a link and open up the page click on the page and then close out the page and start again. Let me know if you know how to do this. Thanks.

Mark

Hello,

Definitely yes, using Automation Anywhere 4.0 you can automate this task. What you can do is first create a rule in outlook to move emails from specific sender to particular folder so that every time you don’t have to search emails from specific sender. Alternatively, follow below given steps to move emails from specific sender to particular folder.
1) In MS-Outlook, you can find ‘Advanced Find’ option under Tools menu to search emails from specific sender.
2) Select all the resultant emails through Edit->Selectall option.
3) You can copy searched result to some other folder through Edit->Copy To Folder option under Advanced find window.

Now, you need to record following steps.

1) Before you start recording, keep first email from specific sender active.
2) Start the recording using 'Record' button.
3) Hit Enter to open that particular email.
4) Hit F4 to search link. Type 'http://' in Find window and hit Enter.
5) If text found, press Esc to close Find window, hit Tab to make that link active and hit Enter to open that link. If text not found then close opened email and move the cursor to next email. After recording, you need to put this condition by editing the task in Task Editor.
6) Close opened email window using keyboard shortcut Alt+F4.
7) Move the cursor to open next email. Use Down Arrow key to move the cursor to next email.
8) Stop the recording. Save the task.
9) You can edit the task to put If condition for link not found. Save the task.
10) Set Repeat property of task according to your requirement. For e.g. if you want to repeat task for 5 emails from that sender then specify 5 in Repeat property. You can find Repeat tab under Properties window at bottom of main screen.

We have also attached task file (AutomateMSOutlook.atmn) for your convenience. Copy it under location, C:\Documents and Settings\....\My Documents\Automation Anywhere\Automation Anywhere\My Tasks\.

Hope that helps.
