Default Several questions...

Hi, I'm testing evaluation version of Automation Anyware 4.0.1.
But I have several question about AA.

Q1. Can I get a timestamp in milli-second ?

Q2. Are there any other methods for waiting until URL fully opened except the command 'Wait for screen change' ? It's seems to be not enough to check whether new URL fully opened using the command 'Wait for screen change'.

Thanks.

Hello,

Regarding your questions,

1) Using Automation Anywhere 4.0, you can get timestamp in seconds and unfortunately, you cannot get timestamp in milliseconds. However, we have forwarded it to our development team for consideration in next release.

2) Automation Anywhere 4.0, provides you with a powerful tool, Web Recorder, which works tightly with Internet Explorer. There is an internal plug-in for Internet Explorer which tells Web Recorder to wait intelligently until the page is fully loaded before executing the web action.

Hope that helps.

Default Milliseconds?

I see you were going to consider adding a timestamp in milliseconds after version 4. Did this ever happen? How can I access current time including milliseconds?

Thanks!!

Tyler

Hello Tyler,

We have prepared the task (ToGetMilliSec.atmn) attached with this post as a workaround to get the time including milliseconds.

Please save the task (ToGetMilliSec.atmn) at My Documents\Automation Anywhere\Automation Anywhere\My Tasks (Default Location). Launch Automation Anywhere, select the task and run the task.

However, our developers are working on your request to add milliseconds as a system variable and possible it would be included in our upcoming version.

Let us know how does it goes.

Clever little workaround there! Thanks for that... and glad to hear you're looking at putting it in an upcoming version.

Cheers,

Tyler
