Hello,

Our new release, Automation Anywhere 4.0 supports sending email using the email server that requires username and password.

You can download Automation Anywhere 4.0 trial version from http://www.tethyssolutions.com/automation-software.htm

Default Cannot send email using AA 4.0

I am using AA 4.0.1. In Tools->Options->Email->Email Settings, I have specified the IP address of my SMTP server along with the username and password. Still it fails in sending emails. It gives an error - Error with connecting server;socket timeout to connect <ip address>. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Ajay

Hello,

What we suggest is, please try to replace the IP Address with the Host Server name. You can obtain SMTP Host information from your Internet Email provider or you may obtain it from the configuration section of your Email program.

In addition, could you please verify the port number, if it is correct?
The Port defines the TCP/IP port, which Automation Anywhere uses for sending e-mails. By default, this setting uses port 25 that is the Internet standard for sending SMTP e-mails.

Hope that helps.
