Default Task suddenly unable to locate window

My task worked perfectly in Automation Anywhere 3.5, and worked the first time I ran it with 4.0. However, now when I run it with 4.0, it cannot find a window to perform a mouse click. There are four lines which refer to this window, two keystrokes then two mouse clicks. The two keystrokes seem to get executed (Alt-x to maximize the window for mouse click positioning) but the task gets consistently stuck at the first mouse click. I have edited the task to re-specify the window and validate the mouse click positon several times. I have also restarted AA and Windows several times. Often this works, but not now. There is no way that I can find to replace the mouse clicks with keystrokes. Currently I cannot get my task to complete successfully Any ideas? Thank you.

Hello,

Is it possible for you to paste the text format of your task and point us to which line in the task is giving the error.

Also, we would recommend you to give our Technical staff a call at 1-888-484-3535 x 3 and we should be able to help you identify the problem.

Default Having this issue in 4.0

I recently upgraded from AA 3.5 to 4.0 and now my scripts are having difficulty as they are no longer recognizing Window Titles. They only work if I put an "*" at the end of the title. Has this been recognized as a bug, or is it unable to be reproduced? This is happening for all types of entries: Keystrokes, mouse clicks, etc.

Hello,

We have tried to reproduce the problem in house but are unable to do so. Is it possible you can upload your task or email us using http://www.tethyssolutions.com/support_form.htm and we can look at the actual .atmn file and debug to see what is going on.

Also, it would be helpful if you could tell us more about how you upgraded your 3.5 tasks to 4.0.
