Get Text from window/text box not working

I'm trying to get the text from an automatically filled text box and put it into a variable, and then log it in a text file as the next action. However the logged text is an empty string (although the time stamp is there).

Any thoughts as to why this would be the case?

Can you please upload the screenshot of window with mentioned text box? Also, please upload your task so that we can look into it and provide viable solution.

You can locate your task by selecting your task from Task List, right clicking that particular task and selecting 'Locate on disk' from context menu.

It would help us investigate further.

hmm, the task that was working yesterday is no longer working today, however when I record the same task and add the capture text it works...
