I ran AA 5.5 on my old XP computer just fine. Recently I upgraded to a new computer with Windows 7. I installed AA 6 trial, uninstalled it adn then installed my 5.5 (licensed copy.) but when I launch it, it says "Loading" and then it disappears and AA does not open. Any clues? |

Hello, Go to Control Panel (Start->Settings->Control Panel) . Double click on 'System'. . Click on 'Advanced System Settings' . Click on 'Advanced' tab. . Click the Settings button in the Performance area. . In Performance Options dialog, click on 'Data Execution Prevention' tab. . Select option, Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services except those I Select. . Click on Add button and select Automation Anywhere.exe from its installation folder. Default location is, "C:\Program Files\Automation Anywhere 6.0\Automation Anywhere.exe" Note: You need to run program as administrator. |

Hello, You can find UAC option under Start->Settings->Control Panel->User Accounts. Click on option, Turn User Account Control on or off, uncheck the check box that says Use UAC to help protect your computer and click on Ok button. Now, try to open the software again. Hope that helps. |

I have succeeded with using Task manager then use the appliications tab then right click on AA then MINIMIZE and a small window will appear in the lower left of the primary screen (if you have mulitple screens). I then drag that window to the middle of the screen and click on the MAXIMIZE control next to the close X in the upper right. let me know if that helps. Phil |

task manager applications? or task manager processes or both or neither. I have recently begun invoking AA, by a bat file that first does a KILLTAKS on it, then starting it. In the past, I've had "ghost" processes that would run as processes, but not appear as applications. best of luck and keep us posted on what you fiind. phil |
