Default mouse click locations SCREEN vs WINDOW

Please find attached 2 tasks and a Text File named ZZZ.TXT

They are nearly identical except that
one of them does mouse clicks relative to SCREEN
and the other does mouse clicks relative to WINDOW.

Both reposition the ZZ* window, even though wildcards are used.

The one which does mouse clicks relative to SCREEN strides to the right and down with each iteration of x and y.
This is as I would expect.

The one with Mouse clicks relative to WINDOW does not seem to move the mouse between CLICKS.

can you provide any insight.

This is with MULITPLE monitors (3 monitors) all set to PORTRAIT MODE and 1280 by 1024 resolution.

I believe this failure to move the mouse when using multiple screens has plagued me in the past with 5.5 and other earlier releases.

Thanks Much!
Phil

Hello,

We just recaptured the window with wild card and the task is working well, it isn't re-positioning the window. Also, the task works in a similar fashion for both 'Screen'/'Window' option.

Attached is the amended task.

Hope that helps.

why would recapturing have changed it?

did you capture on a machine with more than one screen?

Can you see if the underlying code differs and if so how?

The ATMN you sent back is relative SCREEN.
The problem only occurred when it was relative to WINDOW.
Relative to SCREEN worked fine for me.

Please see the attached two ATMNs
and
the 3 text files
zzz.txt - which is the original
and the two AFTER playing the ATMNs.

this problem occurs on my machine with only a single monitor active and in Landscape mode.

this is similar to a problem in 5.5.2

are they also fixing the window repositioning?

you seemed to imply in your earlier response that your ATMN did NOT reposition the window.

Yet, BOTH of my examples reposition and RESIZE the window, even though I do a window command to MAXIMIZE the ZZ* WILDCARD window.
