Default varibles and arithmetic

I have attached a small ATMN to try to understand the use of variables and X Y coordinates.

I expect that

$X$ = 5
and
$X$ = $X$ + 1 would yield
a value of 6 for X
but it seems to yield
the string
X+1

what is the correct syntax for addition and other arithmetic operations?

Hello Phil,

For arithmatic operations, use Variable Operation command. We have attached sample task for mentioned scenario and it works as expected.

Hope that helps.
