cartesian coordinates and windows

could you clarify that the "origin" (that is x=0 and y=0) are in the UPPER LEFT corner of the screen or window?

I think that there is a distant memory in part of my brain that want to put x = 0 and y =0 in the lower left corner as they would be in a Cartesian x,y coordinate grid.

Is the upper left convention a windows standard?

Hello,

If you have selected 'Window' option then origin would be on upper left corner of window and if 'Screen' option were selected then origin would be upper left corner of screen.

May we please know more about your requirement so we can suggest solution accordingly?
