I have windows that I would like to lay out across 6 screens. When using Automation Anywhere, it will not let me specify coordinate positions outside of the first and second screen. IE I cannot load a program and place it just where I want it. My computer has 2 ATI 5770's that support 3 inputs from each card. Windows correctly identifies each screen and if I use the print screen button and paste the clipboard contents, I do get 6 screen areas worth of data. Is this a hard limitation or am I just not setting something up correctly? Cheers Ryan |

Ryan - I've been trying to do development on AA with 3 screens in PORTRAIT mode at 1280x1024. Sometimes it works, but usually, I run into unexpected results. I've finally given up and use a remote desktop to develop on a single 1024x768 desktop with lanscape and standard DPI font size. Please report back if you find you are able to successfully use multiple monitors. Phil Some "things I've learned:" use wildcard windows like: Internet explorer 6* rather than Internet Explorer 6 - provided by xyz corp. it seem AA will re-position fully named windows but not wild card windows. AA "seems" to want to use your primary window rather than other windows. Avoid LEFT mouse - that may be fixed now, but it gave me fits in earlier versions. I hope forum support will give me a clue if these interpretations are wrong. I'd like to hear from them that they test and develop using 3 or more monitors. Best wishes. Phil |

I've just submitted a support case so will see how we go. I'm developing a program in VB and building 'automation functions' that are exes that I run from my main program. I've been able to shift some of the positioning code to my VB application, but it's not ideal. Hopefully I'll have some good news soon from Support.

any news? can you tell us if Ryan opened a case? Can you tell us if development or support tests using multiple screens? I'd like to be able to use my multi-screen machine, but, I've had some much trouble with anomalous behavior that I have moved to a single screen controlled with remote desktop for development. |

I thought I had opened a case but I haven't had any feedback from Support yet. I've been too busy lately to chase it up. My working solution is to open and position applications using a custom VB application that I programmed and then interact with the open applications across multiple desktops using exe's created in Automation Anywhere.
