Question Check length of extracted data

Using web recorder-extract data (not pattern based), I can grab the data I need and assign it to a variable. The next task I need to do is check the length of the variable and truncate it to 4000 characters if needed, before executing my SQL INSERT Statement. Is this possible?

Hello,

Using VB Script we can truncate the string to any number of characters. We have attached a sample task for reference. To run this sample,
. Please copy .atmn under location, 'C:\...\My Documents\Automation Anywhere\Automation Anywhere\My Tasks' folder.
. Copy .vbs under C:\.

Hope that helps.
