I would like to run some unattended web scraping processes. I do not want to run VM machines. I need to run on WINDOWS XP and IE 6. I have AA 5.5 in both Enterprise and Premier available. I was hoping to run an EXE on an XP box without AA installed on the box. However, some earlier forum threads, seemed to indicate that I need to install AA on the box in order to have the best machine locking. Can you 1) recommend the steps needed for safest most secure setup WITHOUT installing AA on the machine and simply running an EXE. 2) tell me what I would gain by installing AA PREMIER on the machine and then running an EXE 3) is a TASK more secure than running an EXE? Thanks much! Phil |

Hello, You can schedule your exe to run un-attended on machine where AA is not installed using Windows Scheduler. With AA Premier, you can only schedule your exe to run un-attended at pre defined time however, autologin feature is not supported with exe. If you need autologin feature then you need to schedule your task, which is more secure. You can also specify advanced settings for Auto Login, such as whether you want the window where your keystrokes and mouse clicks will be played to be hidden, and/or whether to disable mouse and keyboard access while your task runs. Hope that helps. |
