Default Mouse CLick screen images "change"

I capture some clicks while recording an ATMN.

Later I edited the ATMN.

Later I noticed that the screens that were supposed to represent the screens on which the clicks had been recorded,
Had changed and were now other screens.

I'm sure that I didn't copy the clicks.

Why would they change?

How can I make it stop?

Hello,

It is expected. In such scenario either you change the Mouse Click commands to click relative to Window or use Manage Windows Control command to directly access Windows UI objects like Text Box, Drop Down, List Box, Radio buttons and more. When you use MWC, not only your task is independent of screen coordinates and screen resolution, but it can also run in background.

Please find demo on Manage Windows Control (MWC) at,
http://www.tethyssolutions.com/MWC_Demo.html

Hope that helps.

thanks -

It sounds like "to be safe"
one should use MWC rather than mouse clicks?

Is that over simplified or would you recommend that?

Well, I changed all my mouse clicks to MWCs -
but,
Now,
the control is not found when I run the EXE

Strangely, the control looks like a COMMAND BUTTON,
but AA will only let me capture it as text??

The problem occurs on LINE 39 in the attached ATMN.

It is at 5.5.1 Enterprise.

The radio buttons are selected, but then it can't find the CONTINUE in the same window.
Is it looking in the OTHER CLEAR window?
How do I differentiate between the two?
The second instance of CLEAR was created to allow MWC.

Hello,

Is it possible the command button not captured properly? Can you try re-capturing the Continue button?

If it does not help then we would like to look into the actual scenario so please provide screenshot of Clear window and send your contact number and best time to reach at Automation Anywhere - Open A Support Case

Hope that helps.

First,
I will upgrade to 5.5.2
and set DPI to 96

If the problem still occurs,
I will send the image and open an incident.

thanks again.
Phil

I will start a new thread with the title
"command button not captured in MWC"

I'm still having the problem on 5.5.2.
