Default Editor screen repositioning and repainting

Is there any mitigation or option to stop the editor screen from repositioning and repainting the screen when editing an ATMN that is more than one screen long?

it is VERY distracting to have the screen repaint.

But, worse, if you COPY or DUPLICATE a line of code, the new line gets positioned to the BOTTOM of the screen rather than left alone or the middle or the TOP.

does anyone else observe this effect?

I have never experienced this. when copying-pasting code make sure to click on the line ABOVE where you want the code to be pasted. Alternatively, you can just drag the code to the desired position. That will result in the task refreshing, but you the line highlighted should be where you last left off.

anyone else?
perhaps it is caused by using PORTRAIT mode screen settings...

I'll try landscape and see if it is any better.

thanks

well,
I just switched to LANDSCAPE mode
and I still get the same problem.

any lines added beyond the first page (which is about line 25 for me)

Cause the screen to be repainted
and then when it is repainted, the line that was added becomes the last visible line in the edit window.

what screen resolution are you using?

Hello,

Screen refreshing is the expected behavior. Change the screen resolution to 'Normal size (96 DPI)'. You can do so by following below given steps:

1) Go to Start->Control Panel->Display, this will open the Display property dialog box.
2) Click on Settings tab in Display property dialog box.
3) Click on Advanced button under Settings tab. This will open another dialog box.
4) In this dialog box under General tab from 'DPI Setting' drop down select 'Normal size (96 DPI)'.
5) Click on OK button. Click on OK button in Display Properties dialog box.

Hope that helps.

again - thanks for the tip.

Are you saying that using larger fonts (125%) is the cause of placing the line at the bottom?

I have trouble "seeing" smaller fonts -

but,
I'll give it a try!
