Inputed string is converted to invalid characters

Bonjour,

First of all, here is what I am actually trying with the Automation Anywhere before buying a license if the product works for the need.
With another standalone software I need to select a file path from a standard Open dialog box. I have automated this box opening but now I want to "type" the path directly into the File Name field. For instance :
C:\Documents and Settings\Utilisateur\Bureau\generateur_installeurs \brut\test\installeur_64_bits.exe

I have tried Insert Keystrokes to direct input the path but it types the following string to the box :
C£*Documents and Settings*Utilisateur*Bureau*generateurinstalleurs* brut*test*installeur-'bits;exe

Same problem with value variables or variables from text file.

It seems to use an incorrect keyboard map. Am I wrong ?
I use a french Azerty keyboard on a french Windows XP. Do I need to change something to make Automation Anywhere understand the correct string ?

The only help I found on the forum is about inserting special characters.

Hello,

You can try changing the keyboard setting to English, under control panel go to Regional settings-->Languages-->Details and select option, 'English (United States) - US'.

Yes you are right. I was thinking about something like keyboard switch to qwerty but it would have been difficult to use.
With your solution I can simply swith with Alt+Shift shorcut. So I use the keyboard as azerty to work on Automation Anywhere and I switch to qwerty before running the task.
Or something like that ... but it works !
