I need to run the Automation Anywhere server as a service so no user account needs to be logged on to the Win 2008 server. I have successfully installed the exe as a service using NSSM and the exe starts, but clients can't connect. Is there startup parameters that need to be specified or is there another method to run the AA server without having a user remained logged into the windows server?

OK that was part of the issue. I moved the NSSM executable to the same directory as where the Automation Anywhere executables reside and then changed the login account for both services to use a local administrative account. When I changed the services to allow them to interact with the desktop, I got the attached error message which prompted me to move the NSSM exe and change the login account. Now I don't have to have a user logged in to the server and if the server bounces, AA server starts automatically. ![]() As a side note - the AA Server does not appear in the task bar when it is running as a service. If you start the server process manually while the other executables are running as services the clients will not be able connect with both the manual exe running with the service process running. Thanks for the help Steve |
