Default Macros disappeared on 6.5 pro

Created some macros on customer machine to import multiple As400 files into Excel 4 times a day- worked great- was impressed with product-had always used Automate before. After a couple of months it stopped and when I went to investigate, the macros did not exist, no schedule, no nothing. A lot of work is gone and no one has access to my folder so no one went into the app and deleted them.After a MS update trashed Office I reloaded office, but I didn't check the macros before the office incident so I don't know if they were gone. Any ideas? I am reluctant to use the product.
