Open Program/File                                        Example

  1. You can use this command if you want to launch any program or file.
  2. If your program requires command line parameters then you can optionally provide the parameters in the 'Parameters' box.
  3. If you want to test if the path you entered is correct then you can click on 'Launch Program/File' button.
  4. Commands like Keystrokes, Mouse Clicks require the window title in which you want to insert the command. If you want your window to appear in those commands (drop down list), you can optionally select the window title from the list.

Example:To open Notepad.exe.

  1. Open the Macro Editor from Tools -> Macro Editor.
  2. Double click on the 'Open Program/File' command.
  3. Type 'notepad.exe' in the Program/File path.
  4. Click on 'Launch Program/File' button.
  5. Click on 'Save' button.
