Recording Tasks

Recording a task is the easiest and often the best way to get started. It is very easy to record a task in Automation Anywhere. Just follow the steps below.

1. Click on 'Record' to start recording your activity.
   
   
2. Perform the activities that you want to automate.
   
   
3. Click on 'Stop' (small window in lower right corner) to stop recording your activity.
   
   
4. Type your task name and click 'Save' to save the task. If you have purchased version, you can also specify a password to lock the task.
   
   
5. Now anytime you need to perform these actions just run the task, either by double clicking the task or using the 'RUN' button and Automation Anywhere will perform the activity for you. Note: To abort the operation while it is running the task – keep the ESC key pressed for 2-3 seconds.
