General

After you have created a task, you can view and edit various properties. 'General' property allow you to see various task properties like task name, status, last run time etc. It also allows you to type description or notes related to a task. For detailed description of each property see below.

 

File Name

Name of your task.

Created at

It displays date & time of task creation.

Status

It displays the status of the last time the task was run. Click 'View Log' to see historic as well as detailed status of the task. If task has failed, View Log will show the line number where task has failed.

Last Run Time

It displays the time the task was last run.

Mouse Clicks

It displays the total mouse clicks recorded in a task. It is automatically calculated based on the task.

Keystrokes

It displays the total keystrokes recorded in the task. It is automatically calculated based on the task.

Total Clicks

It displays the total clicks (Mouse Clicks + Keystrokes) recorded in the task. Everytime you run a task you save these many clicks and keystrokes. It is automatically calculated based on the task.

Enable this task to run with other similar files or window titles.

By default the task recorded will only run on the specific file(s) it was recorded on. However SMART Automation Technology enables an option whereby the recorded task can be run on any file within the application it was recorded in. For e.g. you recorded a task on abc.xls. You can run this task on def.xls, xyz.xls or any other *.xls file by enabling this option.

Description/Notes

You can add description / notes for the task in the ‘Description/Notes’ window.
