Files/Folders - Examples How to use?
Example 1: Copy Files that were created in last 180 days and size of at least 50 Kb and above from one folder to another.
- Select the Copy Files option.
- Specify the source files that you want to copy.
- Specify the destination folder where you want to copy.
- Click on Advance view at the bottom.
- Click on Size checkbox and select "At
least" from the drop down and specify 50 KB.
- Click on Date checkbox and specify 180
days in the textbox for "in the last" option.
- Save and Run the task.
Example 2: Rename all the .dat files with .bak
- Select the Rename Files option.
- Specify the source (.dat) files that you want to rename for e.g. C:\MyFolder\*.dat
- Specify the new renamed file name for e.g. *.bak
- Save the command.
Example 3: Zip (backup) all your work at the end of the day before leaving the work.
- Select the Zip file option.
- Specify the location of your work folder for e.g. C:\MyWork\
- Specify the name of the zip file that you want to be generated after compressing the folder.
- Save the command.
Example 4: Delete/Purge all the *.tmp files at the end of the day.
- Select the Delete Files option.
- Specify the location of the temp files
that you want to delete for e.g. C:\Temp\*.tmp
- Save the command.
Example 5: Print all the Word documents in C:\My Documents\ folder.
- Select the 'Print Files in a folder' option.
- Specify C:\My Documents\ in the Folder name.
- Specify the extension *.doc in the File Type textbox.
- Save the
command.
